Delhi University has released a notice for all Regular, and NCWEB students who have taken admission in year 2022 under NEP.
Many students were confused regarding the 4th year of graduation, whether it is compulsory or how can they exit after 3rd year. So, the notice is all about this. Let’s discuss that notice in detail.
Exit option after 3rd Year
In the notice released by DU, it is clearly written that all those students who have completed their 3 years (6 semesters) can now exit the program with a three year degree for multi-core discipline programmes and Honours degree for single core discipline programmes.
Keep in mind, this notice is released only for NCWEB and Regular students. A separate notice will be released by DU for SOL students regarding the exit option after 3rd year.

Conclusion
Remember that the last date to apply for exit option is 1 August, 2025. So, you have ample amount of time to think whether you have exit or not.
I’d suggest rather than asking your parents or teachers, ask yourself whether the 4th year will help me in growing my career or not. If the answer is yes, you are good to go and vice versa. If you have any doubts, you can ask me in the comments section, I’ll try to resolve them as quickly as possible.
